What is Mote?

Mote is the back office for a trades business, in one place. Capture hours, receipts, and photos from the job site, keep an open book on every project, invoice clients and give them a portal, and see where every job stands, on web and on your phone.

What makes Mote different?

Most software makes you change how you work to fit the tool. Mote is shaped around how your business already runs. That fit is the point, and it is what saves you time: less of your week behind a desk, more of it on the work that pays.

Who is Mote for?

Owners, the office, and the crew in the field. The crew logs the work with no forms and no typing; the office and the owner see it all come together.

What kinds of businesses use Mote?

Trades businesses of all kinds: remodelers, general contractors, landscapers, AV installers, and electricians, among others. If you run jobs, manage a crew, and send invoices, Mote fits.

Getting in

Can I sign up?

Mote is invitation-based right now. We bring on a handful of companies at a time so we can set Mote up around how each one runs jobs. Most new companies come in through one that already uses it.

I do not have a referral. How do I get in?

Join the waitlist on our home page and we will reach out as we bring on new companies.

Why not open it to everyone?

Because the fit is the point. Setting Mote up around your business takes hands-on work, and we would rather do that well for a few companies at a time than ship something generic to everyone.

What does Mote cost?

Mote is priced like software: a monthly subscription. What is different is what you get for it, a system shaped to the way your business runs, not an off-the-shelf tool you have to bend around.

How is it set up?

We set Mote up around your projects, your workflow, and the tools you already use, then bring your team on. You are not left to configure a blank product on your own.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your data is hosted securely and backed up regularly, and it is yours, you can export it anytime. See our Privacy Policy.

Who can see my data?

Only the people you invite, based on the permissions you set.
